Wenger Offered PSG Job

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has an offer on the table from Paris Saint-Germain to become the club’s general manager. The Frenchman is set to step down at the end of the season after nearly 22 years in charge of the Gunners and he’s keen to continue in football.

Wenger turned down offers from Real Madrid and PSG in the past to stay with Arsenal and the French giants are expected to part with Unai Emery this summer.Thomas Tuchel, the former Dortmund boss, is expected to take charge but PSG have spoken with Wenger and offered him a four-year deal to become the club’s general manager, according to Le10 Sport.

The move would see Wenger working on all aspects of the club and he would oversee the club’s transfer policy and scouting network. It remains to be seen if Wenger will accept the offer but the Frenchman has confirmed he wants to remain in football once he leaves the Gunners.

Wenger has good relationships with PSG chairmain Nasser Al-Khelaifi after meeting the 44-year-old when working as a pundit on his television station beIN Sports.

The French club do not see Wenger as a potential first-team coach any more but believe he could offer more in the boardroom and would help to give the club more prestige.
