Wenger feels Chelsea would be worthy champions
should they go on to becoming crowned the premier league champions for the
2014/2015 season.
Arsene Wenger has said
that Chelsea have shown the consistency which the Premier League rewards, and
if they do go on to win the coveted trophy, they would be worthy champions.
When he was asked in his pre-match conference if he felt Chelsea would be
worthy champions if crowned, Wenger said “Look, they have been very consistent
until now, they are the team who has lost less games than any other team, so
the championship, premiership rewards the consistency. And on that front, if
you look at that record, they have been defensively very strong and very
consistent.”
Earlier in the season,
some pundits backed Chelsea to go the whole season unbeaten in the Premier
League due to their blistering form, but that was not to be as Newcastle ended
their unbeaten run. One thing is sure though and that is the fact that if
Chelsea go on to win the trophy, it would be well deserved. En route to their
imminent premier league triumph, They defeated the likes of Arsenal, Manchester
United and some other tough teams.
