Arsene Wenger has said
arsenal star player Mesut Ozil has given a satisfactory explanation as to why
he was seen outside a nightclub in his hometown. The arsenal manager was asked
if he had been given a satisfactory reason for his actions, and his response
was “yes”
When asked what the reason was he said “He went out for half an hour
to a birthday of his friend to wish him well and went back home.”
Arsenal have been hit
with a number of misconducts on the path of the players with the players not
seem to be able to hold their own. Last season, Bendtner was caught with his
trousers down in Copenhagen, Wilshere was caught with pipe earlier this season,
and Szczesny was caught smoking in the showers this season as well, which
coupled in his drop in form led to his demotion to second choice keeper.
When asked if he hadgone soft on disciplinary measures on his old age with indiscipline seem to be
grooming at the club, the manager answered “I’m not going soft on discipline,
but I find people when they’ve worked for us, and they don’t respect the
discipline and on that front I feel you cannot stop anybody from wishing happy
birthday to a friend when he’s in his own country.”
