Wenger Backs Cech

Arsene Wenger has backed new signing Petr Cech to have a successful career as he looks forward to the next set of games at Arsenal.

       

Petr Cech had an enduring debut as his mistakes led to two goals which confined the team to defeat on the opening day, and some fans questioned if he could really save us 10-15 points a season as he had already cost the team 3 points on the day.

When asked abouthow Petr Cech had reacted to his debut, Wenger replied “Like a great goalkeeper, he stood up for what happened to him and focuses on the next one”

“He analyzes it very well, he is a bright player, bright man and he knows that it is down to how well he responds to that”.

When he was asked what he put the debut down to, he replied “Maybe wanting to save the team in a situation where our defending was not great”.
