Lacazette recently returned to the training ground this week and Wenger has given the reason why the ace had often been taken off during the last 20 minutes.
He indicated that Lacazette was still adapting to the style of play in the Premier League and the player was always bound to put in a sub per performance in the last 20 minutes.
The manager said "He was in an adaptation period where I felt that, without any objective measurement, that sometimes he struggled a bit more in the second part of the game, especially in the last 20 minutes, to create the movement he can. I put that down to an adaptation period. It was not so much physically – that didn’t drop so much – it just looked like he was a bit less sharp"

Lacazette joined Arsenal before the summer before the start of the 2017-2018 season. The French striker as at the time of the publication of this post has only been able to add 9 goals to his name since his arrival to the Emirates.
