Arsenal Legend Rubbishes Manager Links

Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has indicated that he is not interested in the role of manager at Arsenal at the moment as he is very happy at New York FC at the moment.

Vieira told New York radio station WNYE saying

"I spent nine years at Arsenal which makes the club really special for me," "But that is not enough to coach the team."

The former midfielder turned to coaching after calling time on his playing days in 2011.
Vieira began working with Manchester City's youth teams after playing for the club at the end of his career.
He then took the plunge into senior management by taking over in the MLS.
And it appears Vieira is enjoying his life in the United States.

"I am always flattered to hear my name linked with different football clubs," he continued.

"That is good for your ego but at the same time, I am happy here.

"We will see what will happen in the next couple of years."

Vieira's former team-mate Emmanuel Petit has also had his say.
And the Frenchman would be happy to see his fellow countryman take the job.
"I’m a great friend of Patrick Vieira, so perhaps I am biased, but with everything he has done at Manchester City and New York City FC, and considering the way he is regarded by fans of Arsenal, I would be very happy if the club decided to appoint him as the next manager," he told Paddy Power.

Thomas Tuchel, Carlo Ancelotti and Massimiliano Allegri are the other contenders for the Arsenal job.
